Learn more about the Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler.

My name is Bleu Cheese but you can call me Bleu. I am a one year old female cattle dog. I am 35 little lbs. I was found as a stray and am not looking for a home. I am an Australian Cattle Dog which means I require tons of activity both physically and mentally -
I need to be working for something! This will keep me happy and healthy! Cattle dogs like me are super smart, so we will get ourselves into mischief if we are not given an outlet! We also tend to be over protective of our family, so I need someone who is proactive about training so that I grow up to be a good girl!

I am heartworm positive, but do not worry the rescue is raising funds for my treatment so I am still adoptable. Once the rescue raises all funds I will be able to go home with an approved applicant, that would just have to make sure I go to my appointments to finish my treatment. I am new to the rescue so they will get to know me more as time goes on.

xoxo - BC

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred  that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
