Learn more about the Labrador Retriever.

Hello, my name is Buster and I am made of all things sweet: sugar, marshmallows, whipped cream, and milk chocolate.  I am the color of of a Cadbury egg after all, filled with the gooey love and happiness found once you crack my shell.  I’m not really used to being at CARA in my own room but understand it is temporary.  I express my joy when seeing people here and once I meet eager hands ready to give some good ear scratches I melt into their love and affection.  I really look forward to walks and playtime in the yard.

My brother and I found ourselves without our human parents suddenly.  Without the ability to feed ourselves or open the door for bathroom time, we both started our next life journey.  My brother was adopted to a nice family and now I have come to CARA to await my new family.  I love my CARA family but am ready to get back to a home that I can share with you.  Come to CARA and you’ll see what a wonderful family member I will be.  Every day is better with a doggie best friend, especially when covered in a chocolate coat.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred  that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
