It's not my fault; and no, I am neither green 'nor slimy. It's rather that somebody said to look at the cute little Booger and that's how I got my name. And trust me, I am pleasant to look at. Just imagine the handsome and lean black & white Panther I am growing up to be! I'll be so handsome that it will take your breath away. (OK, I promise not to eat that much anymore, when I sleep on you!) I am the all-around talent and get along with everybody. Bring on the kids, dogs, cats and I'll charm them in a heartbeat. My goal in life is to be everybody's best friend and make you smile until your teeth hurt. Maybe, in return, you can scratch my favorite spot right there behind my ear. I will love you forever.

I am FELV/FIV negative, UTD on shots & preventatives & will fall under CARA’s Spay/Neuter Contract!

Our adoption fees are:
Dogs: $250
Cats: $95
Puppies under 4 months: $235 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100
Kittens under 4 months: $70 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100

All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered (unless under 4 months please read about our adoptions here ), are current on vaccinations and preventatives, and micro-chipped. Cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS and Leukemia. Dogs have been tested for heartworm disease.

Our shelter is located at 42 Deep River Rd in Sanford and is open Tues, Thurs,  & Fri from 3pm - 7pm & Sat from 10-2pm (other times available by appointment). CARA's adoption process and online application can be found at  http://www.cara-nc.org/info/adoption

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred  that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them.
