Learn more about the Labrador Retriever.

Hi there! My name is Sandy. I will be 2 years old in February of 2017! Hmmm...a few things about me...well, I love water more than any other dog I have ever met.  Now, I'm known to be a skilled escape artist, so I will need special care around doors and the yard. I'm not a fan of sharing my human friends and want to be the only pet in the home as I don't get along with cats or other dogs. I may be too hyper for young kiddos, but older kids, I'm sure I'll get along with just fine. I will need some extra training with walking nicely on the leash too, I'm not a big fan of leashes. But I know the perfect person is out there that is willing to give me a chance. Is that person you? Come meet me today!

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
