In the words of Jason Aldean, "You boys ever met a real country girl?/Talkin, true blue, out in the woods, down home, country girl." Well, Cadie is that girl. She is that real country girl. The countryside is calling her name and is where she is meant to be. She would love to have a home that has a big yard for her to run around in so that she can stay fit, cause she is a Virgo after all, September 11, 2011. Virgos love to exercise. She has to make sure she stays in the range of 45 - 50 pounds. Girl has to look good, right? Her favorite game is fetching the tennis ball (still working of bring it back) and playing a round of tag. Then when she is nice and tired, she will curl up on the couch right beside you and take a little snooze. After her snooze, she will be ready to play again. If Cadie was given the chance, she'd be outside all the time. She is after all a hound mix with a look of a beagle with a very stocky body. She is the true country girl who loves getting down and dirty plus some sunbathing time.

Cadie's life started in the country. Her life did not start out as a happy country life. Her life started on a chain outside with very little love but even though she did not receive the love that she deserved did not stop her from being a friendly, loving dog with a bubbly personality. Once she came to CARA, one of the volunteers took a special interest her and helped her become even more awesome dog. Cadie was and is taken out on many mini trips to give her a break from the kennel life. She has been taken to a few local parks to explore new sights, sounds, and smells. She just recently endured a 5K walk for the Human Race held in Greensboro. She also just recently went to a 2nd grade class to show off that she is a well behaved dog. Cadie has learned how to sit, down, and stay and in the process, now knows her name. Cadie does very well on an easy-walk harness and is always up for walk. Once she has no more energy, she will take a well-deserved nap.

If you want a country girl in your life and been dreaming about one, well come down to CARA and see our country girl during our opening hours.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred  that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
