Hi my name is Maya and I am an Akita, my disposition is sweet and pure. I sure get attached to the people who take care of me fast and will make a great family companion to the right home. I love to play with my toys, and I love to run and play chase in the yard with my foster brothers and sisters. Oh yeah, one other great thing I am a really quick learner too...I know sit, stay, and shake already! I've just about got the housetraining thing down and I'm crate trained also.

Maya is a wonderful girl who needs a home familar with the Akita breed to fully appreciate her.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
