Learn more about the Chihuahua.

My name is Bella! I am a one-year-old Chihuahua mix who was found as a stray on Cinqo de Mayo! I have some pretty strict requirements, so please read carefully before applying to hopefully meet and adopt me! I would do best in a home with someone who is home often, and very active. Despite my size (5lbs) I require multiple walks a day, and any other activity you can provide. I am a huge snuggle bug, so I must be able to sleep and snuggle in bed with you. Yes that might seem like an unreasonable request to some, but I am a little princess and deserve it! I am housebroken and do okay in the crate for a short time. I get along with dogs AND cats (but ask that dogs are gentle and smaller just for safety). I would prefer a home with no small children, and an owner who has pet experience. My foster mom thinks I am PERFECT and has a high standard for my adoption because I am so special.  I am a TRUE LAP DOG, so this would have to be a quality you love in a dog. Hope to meet you soon!!!

If you would like to adopt this pet or any of their friends, please visit CARA to fill out an online application.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
