Hello. My name is Biscuit. I came to the rescue with my brother Butter. We are pretty attached. In fact I will protect him at all cost. We sleep right next to each other each night and keep each other safe. We are very scared and timid at the moment but are slowly, opening up. We were likely fending for ourselves for a while. We are very sweet once we have been given ample time to trust you. 

What we desperately need: A nice calm home, with a human who has a GENTLE hand. At the moment, we are scared by loud noises and fast movements that we just end up crawling into a corner and hiding so that we are not hurt. We need a human with PATIENCE that will show us that we are in no danger. We are going to be AMAZING when we feel no fear of humans. I mean, even despite our timid nature, we have never tried to bite anyone or shown any aggression. We have not been tested with dogs yet, we are good with cats. If children are older, and respectful of our needs then we might be okay with them.

Our adoption fees are:
Dogs: $250
Cats: $95
Puppies under 4 months: $235 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100
Kittens under 4 months: $70 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100

All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered (unless under 4 months please read about our adoptions here ), are current on vaccinations and preventatives, and micro-chipped. Cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS and Leukemia. Dogs have been tested for heartworm disease.

Our shelter is located at 42 Deep River Rd in Sanford and is open Tues, Thurs,  & Fri from 3pm - 7pm & Sat from 10-2pm (other times available by appointment). CARA's adoption process and online application can be found at  http://www.cara-nc.org/info/adoption
