Hey peeps! My name is Ramsey. I am a cool little dude, just waiting for a forever family. I'm a lab mix, which means I am full of play and full of love! If you are looking for a happy go luck little nugget, I'm your guy! I wouldn't mind a doggy sibling, or hanging with my human by myself. The CARA humans say I am going to make someone very very happy! We all hope I don't have to spend too much time here. Please ask to meet me when I am available!

* Special information regarding adopting Puppies *

Our adoption fees are: 

*  Altered puppies dogs $ 155 

*  Altered kittens  & cats $ 95

* Puppies under 4 months who have not  been spayed or neutered or who have a medical reason why they cannot be altered before adoption - $115 plus S/N  Deposit: $ 100 if not altered prior to adoption 

* Kittens under 4 months who have not  been spayed or neutered or who have a medical reason why they cannot be altered before adoption -  $70 plus S/N Deposit: $ 100 if not altered prior to adoption 

Our policy is that all adopted  animals  must be spayed or neutered  before leaving the premises. If at  any   time  an  animal  under the age of  4 months leaves our rescue group unaltered, the adopters must sign and  agree to our spay/neuter contract. This contract states each adopter  agrees to have the  animal  being adopted spayed/neutered by a  veterinarian of their choice by the age of 6 months. As part of this  contract an additional $ 100 deposit fee will be required. This  deposit fee will be refunded upon verification of the spay/neuter  contract. Our adoption fees are:
Dogs: $250
Cats: $95
Puppies under 4 months: $235 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100
Kittens under 4 months: $70 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100

All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered (unless under 4 months please read about our adoptions here ), are current on vaccinations and preventatives, and micro-chipped. Cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS and Leukemia. Dogs have been tested for heartworm disease.

Our shelter is located at 42 Deep River Rd in Sanford and is open Tues, Thurs,  & Fri from 3pm - 7pm & Sat from 10-2pm (other times available by appointment). CARA's adoption process and online application can be found at  http://www.cara-nc.org/info/adoption
