Hello there! My name is Bella. I came into CARA just recently. I was being surrendered by my owner while the CARA intake committee were picking up dogs to rescue. They saw my brother (Brutus) and I being dragged into animal control. We did not want to leave our owner, despite being clearly neglected. Once we arrived at CARA we were so frightened and the volunteers tried so hard to make us feel at home. We felt comfy and safe with one volunteer named Stacy, so we sat in her lap and cuddle up to her as long as we possibly could until we had to go back into the kennel. We are so confused and scared. Although we were not given a good life prior to arriving at CARA, we are so scared by the barking surrounding us as we huddle in the corner of our kennel. We need someone who is willing to be patient with us, as well as providing plenty of love and attention. Oh did we mention we are both under 20lbs and love children?? If you want to meet my sister and I, we are available for viewing and adoption right now! Call CARA for more information! 919-774-9433

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
