This poor little girl adores people. she is soo lonely in a kennel by herself that she cries until someone comes to pick her up. She is content to be cuddled like a baby or to take shoulder rides. Ella is a special need kitten as she unfortunately was exposed to the FCV (Feline Calici Virus). Ella will need to go into a home with other FCV positive cats or into a home by herself.

Don't worry it is not as scary as it sounds, it is just a form of an upper respiratory virus that needs to be watched in case it flares up. Ella is healthy and happy, and never showed any symptoms of this virus, however better safe than sorry!

Ella has been started on vaccinations, dewormings and has been altered.

Our adoption fees are:
Dogs: $250
Cats: $95
Puppies under 4 months: $235 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100
Kittens under 4 months: $70 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100

All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered (unless under 4 months please read about our adoptions here ), are current on vaccinations and preventatives, and micro-chipped. Cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS and Leukemia. Dogs have been tested for heartworm disease.

Our shelter is located at 42 Deep River Rd in Sanford and is open Tues, Thurs,  & Fri from 3pm - 7pm & Sat from 10-2pm (other times available by appointment). CARA's adoption process and online application can be found at  http://www.cara-nc.org/info/adoption

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred  that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them.
