To see more animals for adoption, please visit the CARA Website This poor little girl adores people. she is soo lonely in a kennel by herself that she cries until someone comes to pick her up. She is content to be cuddled like a baby or to take shoulder rides. Ella is a special need kitten as she unfortunately was exposed to the FCV (Feline Calici Virus). Ella will need to go into a home with other FCV positive cats or into a home by herself. To learn more about FCV visit The Winn Feline Foundation for more information. Don't worry it is not as scary as it sounds, it is just a form of an upper respiratory virus that needs to be watched in case it flares up. Ella is healthy and happy, and never showed any symptoms of this virus, however better safe than sorry! Ella has been started on vaccinations, dewormings and has been altered. If you would like to adopt Ella, please visit CARA to fill out an on-line application or e-mail us at cara@cara-nc.org.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life.
