Some people say they are cat people and some specifically dog people.  Well, I’m here to blur the line of reasoning declared on either side.  I am KJ, a cat by natural design and purrfection possessing additional dog-like personality traits.  I’ll give you a minute to process this amazement….

Time’s up!  It’s true, I have all the wonderful attributes of a cat: beauty in a small package, soft fur, intelligence, house-trained without ever needing reminding, and a clear understanding that shoes or other human apparel are not chew toys.  I’m athletic and always ready for a good game of fetch, and will loyally guard the house with confidence while you are away.  Not a single uninvited intruder (specifically any and all bugs) will enter our home on my watch.   At 10-months of age I venture to guess I am bigger and more rugged than some dogs, specifically the ones that have beds made of silk pillows and wear jackets when it snows, but I digress.

I have provided additional facts which outline why I am the purrfect cat for you:

·         I bath myself

·         Drooling is for amateurs (dogs)

·         One bathroom location, all times, every time, without fail or need to take me outside

·         Zero loud, annoying, and useless barking notification of the door bell being rung because            humans have ears capable of hearing the doorbell and without added assistance.

·         I don’t beg for food at the dinner table because I have dignity (see: dogs)

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life.
